EV Charger Infrastructure Program

Private content

Electric vehicle charging stationElectric Vehicle (EV) charger infrastructure is being rolled out across government facilities as part of the Queensland Government’s Energy and Jobs Plan, Action 2.5 d. – Deliver Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) ready government buildings.

Funding is available for Queensland Government agencies and is a capped contribution of up to $9,000 (per level 2 charger) toward the installation cost of EV charging infrastructure in government buildings.

EV charger infrastructure supports agencies to transition to renewable energy and reduce emissions on the pathway to net zero.

The Queensland Government is committed to reduce emissions and increase the use of renewable energy. Agencies are encouraged to transition to EVs as soon as practically possible.

As the rollout of EV charger infrastructure continues across government buildings more chargers will become available for use at agency sites. If no EV charger is currently available on site, agencies can make use of the rapidly expanding public and private charging networks, which can be found via apps such as Plugshare.

If you require information about how to transition your agency's fleet to EVs please contact your QFleet leasing consultant, or email QFleet at QFleet-FleetClientServices@epw.qld.gov.au.
