Transport Infrastructure and Services (TIS) Category Council

The Transport Infrastructure and Services (TIS) Category Council is managed through the Infrastructure Procurement Steering Committee, with support and advice from the Transport Infrastructure Advisory Board.

The TIS Category Strategy encompasses all transport related infrastructure and passenger transport spend for Queensland.

The Category enables reliable, resilient and responsible transport networks and services through a diverse range of goods and services from across Queensland.

Meeting dates

Meetings are held 6-monthly.

Decision-making authority

TMR’s Infrastructure Procurement Steering Committee approves the Transport Infrastructure and Services category strategies, plans and reporting to whole-of-government.

Industry reference group/approach

TMR is responsible for overseeing and managing the TIS category of spend on behalf of the Queensland Government.

This is one of Queensland Government's strategic categories accounting for approximately $9.56B in spend.

As the TIS category is broad and works with a variety of industries, engagement with industry, trade unions and other stakeholders occurs through existing networks and committees.
