Procurement governance

Content is being reviewed to align with the Queensland Procurement Policy 2026.

The Queensland Government has established a governance framework to support its agency-led, centrally enabled procurement operating model.

This framework aims to strengthen our procurement governance and engagement with industry.

Understanding our governance framework

The following groups provide the support, guidance and strategic direction to deliver the Queensland Government procurement operating model and their roles are identified in the Queensland Government Procurement Policy 2026.

  • The Procurement Ministerial Advisory Council (PMAC) provides a platform for the Minister responsible for government procurement to collaborate with industry leaders on the strategic positioning and optimisation of the Queensland Government’s procurement direction, including to procurement opportunities for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
