QBuild expanding opportunities for social enterprises and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses

The company’s inclusion on QBuild’s electrical standing offer arrangements (SOA) (Brisbane Metro) highlights the powerful role that social enterprises can play in government supply chains. It has resulted in over $75,000 in work with QBuild between November 2025 and June 2026.
This collaboration has allowed Give Industries to:

- deepen its contribution to the community.
At the core of Give Industries’ mission is a steadfast commitment to giving back. Over the last 6 years, they have contributed more than $1 million to high-impact charities.

QBuild is the Queensland Government’s building and construction arm. They deliver building, construction and maintenance services across the state.
It plays an important role in maintaining government assets and supporting frontline service delivery by managing a range of trade contractor SOA.
Over the past 12 months, QBuild has succeeded in increasing the number of social enterprises and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses on its trade contractor SOAs.
The SOAs have created opportunities for these businesses to take part in government supply chains across a range of trade packages. This shows practical progress in supplier diversity.
Across the establishment of QBuild’s 8 most recent SOAs, the following have been successful and included on SOA panels:
- 7 social enterprises
- 46 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses.
These results show particularly strong outcomes in:
- carpentry
- electrical
- yard maintenance service areas.
