Transport Infrastructure and Services (TIS) Category Council
The Transport Infrastructure and Services (TIS) Category is governed by Transport and Main Roads' Finance and Procurement Committee, and is supported by the Procurement sub-Committee, and Industry Reference Groups. Industry liaison is undertaken on a regular basis and includes engagement across peak bodies representing design, construction and materials industries.
The TIS Category Strategy is an opportunity to unlock hidden potential (value and benefits) from our key procurement categories of spend (Construction Delivery, Construction Materials, Machinery, Plant and Equipment and Transport Services Delivery) through working in new and innovative ways. Taking an integrated cross-category approach to how we strategically procure strengthens the ability to deliver Queensland Government commitments and targets, and the vision of creating a single integrated transport network, accessible to all.

TMR's Finance and Procurement Committee is supported by a TMR Procurement sub-Committee, which drives and enables procurement performance outcomes. Together these committees fulfil the role of the whole-of-Government Transport Infrastructure and Services (TIS) Category Council.

TMR is responsible for overseeing and managing the TIS category of spend on behalf of the Queensland Government. This is one of Queensland Government's strategic categories accounting for approximately $7.6B in spend.
As the TIS category is broad and works with separate industries, TMR engages with industry and trade unions through existing networks and committees as needed.
