Support people who have experienced trauma
Our work means we may provide services to, or work with, someone who is a victim of crime or trauma. Anyone can experience trauma—at any time—but we don’t always consider how trauma can affect our daily work as Queensland government employees.
Developed by the Office of the Victims’ Commissioner, Better for us, better for you is a guide to training requirements for trauma-informed practice. It aims to help you at work to build safety and trust with victims of crime. You can also use it to help your team support people who have experienced trauma.
Use it to identify what type of training you or your team might need.
