Who we are
Queensland Shared Services (QSS) is a shared service provider in the Queensland Government. We provide finance, procurement, human resource management, telecommunications and mail support services to more than 70,000 public servants across 25 Queensland Government departments and agencies. We are also responsible for the management and support of the majority of the sector’s finance and human resource systems and processes.
We want to ensure you, our customers, are central in everything we do. We are committed to making it easier for you to do business with us. We want to better understand your business so we can find innovative ways to help you maximise efficiencies and improve services.

Queensland Shared Services is part of the Department of Science, Information Technology and Innovation (DSITI).
We’ve recently been delivering greater efficiencies and savings to customers by transforming our business. We strive to improve customers’ experiences with us and you can now take advantage of these innovations:
- easier employee self service
- mobile corporate card management
- more online finance eForms
- our QSS Self Service Centre.

At the end of 2016, we had delivered:
- 1.79 million pays
- 542,560 overtime claims
- 1.3 million mail items
- 12.49 billion vendor payments.
We also manage 57,658 telecommunications lines.
