Procurement and contract management: Technical skills induction program
For employees new to Queensland Government procurement and/or contract management roles.
Background
Onboarding is a long-term commitment to ensure a new employee within an organisation has the tools, resources and support to perform in their role.
Onboarding starts when the employee first accepts their role in the organisation/team and continues for approximately 3–6 months until the employee is fully integrated into the work environment.
For those who are new to the context of Queensland Government Procurement, it is important to:
- understand the strategic approach to procurement adopted by the Queensland Government
- become familiar with the Queensland Procurement Strategy (Opens in new window) and the Queensland Procurement Policy (QPP)
- understand the procurement lifecycle
