MRIP - Team successfully transitions

The Reform Implementation Taskforce (RIT) and Marine Rescue Implementation Program (MRIP) teams have reached an exciting milestone. As of 1 May, the 34-strong team joined us under the Queensland Police Service (QPS) umbrella.

Thanks to the hard work of teams across QPS and the MRIP, we’re now proud to have the MRIP team with us so they can continue to deliver their valuable body of work. This is the first of the transitions to take place as part of the RIT reforms, and it’s set the bar high for how effective we can be when we work together.

The changeover of IT services and payroll were vital to a smooth transition − thanks to Greg Clarke and Tomas Alves from IT, and Nuria Alvayero and Carol Forbes from HR for dedicating themselves to this project. I’m sure the MRIP team is just as grateful as we are having you on deck doing some great work.

The MRIP team will soon become part of Marine Rescue Queensland when it is established later in the program, so we look forward to working more with them in the coming months.
