RIT - Council collaboration important in the success of disaster and emergency services reforms

Local government representatives are appreciative of the changes Queensland’s disaster and emergency management system is undergoing, saying they’re happy to see local volunteer groups, including SES receiving extra funding to support the frontline before, during and after disasters.

They’re looking forward to being a part of such an exciting time in history that will lead to greater resources and better aligned agencies responding to disasters and emergency situations.

As the changes begin to take place, communities leading local responses can be rest assured there'll be no degradation to services provided.
