Jobs for government employees

Search our internal Smart jobs and careers page (government network access required) for vacancies available only to government employees. The page looks and feels the same as our external Smart jobs and careers page but has a different URL and includes more job opportunities. It includes the jobs available on our external page and extra jobs available only to internal candidates.

If you're a government employee, you should always use the internal Smart jobs and careers page.

Check you have the right URL

The Smart jobs and careers pages look the same, but they have different URLs. The internal Smart jobs and careers page contains the word govnet.

  • Internal Smart jobs and careers:
    https://smartjobs.govnet.qld.gov.au/jobtools/jncustomsearch.jobsearch?in_organid=15033
  • External Smart jobs and careers:
    https://smartjobs.qld.gov.au/jobtools/jncustomsearch.jobsearch?in_organid=14904

If you're a government employee, you should always use the URL with govnet in it to see all the available jobs.

Check you have government network access

To access internal Smart jobs and careers, you need to be in the office, or be connected remotely through a VPN or similar remote network access software.

Contact your IT service desk if you're having trouble accessing the government network from your device. Check your intranet for their contact details.
