NDIS-impacted employees

The Queensland Government is continuing with its phased implementation of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) which is to be completed by 30 June 2019.

The Department of Communities, Disability Services and Seniors (DCDSS) and the Public Service Commission (PSC) is working together to provide easily accessible, relevant information on employment opportunities for NDIS-impacted employees who are seeking career pathways in the Queensland Government.

Premier and Cabinet

Provides support and advice for the Premier and Cabinet and leads the public sector in delivering the government’s priorities.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships

Supports the economic and social participation of culturally diverse communities across Queensland and provides whole-of-government leadership, coordination and monitoring in policy, program and service delivery for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Queenslanders.

Agriculture and Fisheries

Responsible for the agriculture, fisheries and forestry industries, including the provision of agricultural research, development and extension for the management of biological, animal welfare and product integrity risks.

Child Safety, Youth and Women

Responsible for adoption, child protective services, working with children checks, women's policy, youth affairs and justice, and domestic and family violence.

Communities, Disability Services and Seniors

Works to strengthen connections between individuals, families and communities by providing and investing in quality human services.

Corrective Services

Responsible for the provision of corporate and executive services to Queensland corrective services.


Delivers world-class education services to ensure Queensland’s education systems are aligned to the state’s employment, skills and economic priorities.

Employment, Small Business and Training

Responsible for employment, vocational education and training, skills and workforce development, small business advocacy and resilience.

Environment and Science

Responsible for environmental planning and protection policy, pollution and waste management, marine and national parks management, science strategy, and arts policy and programs.

Housing and Public Works

Delivers a range of housing, building and procurement services for Queenslanders and encourages active lifestyles by providing recreational and sporting opportunities, and drives the government's priorities in technology, intellecutal property and service delivery.

Innovation, Tourism Industry Development and the Commonwealth Games

Responsible for tourism development and promotion, major events, innovation policy, strategy and programs, and the Commonwealth Games.

Justice and Attorney-General

Responsible for administering justice in Queensland and delivers services to ensure safe, fair and productive work environments which contribute to the social and economic wellbeing of Queenslanders.

Local Government, Racing and Multicultural Affairs

Responsible for local government, multicultural affairs, racing and the recovery and reconstruction of Queensland following natural disaster events.

Natural Resources, Mines and Energy

Enables the productive and responsible use of Queensland’s natural resources—water, land, mineral and energy resources—and provides a modernised natural resources business that will power-up regional Queensland.

Fire and Emergency Services

Responsible for the fire and rescue service, and disaster management.


Provides leadership and direction for the health sector, and creates an environment that encourages innovation and improvement in the delivery of health services.


Responsible for the police service and Queensland Government Air Services.


Responsible for providing economic and financial advice to the government, as well as services to the community, to enhance the state’s financial position and economic performance.

State Development, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning

Responsible for state development, manufacturing, economic development, urban growth, and programs for priority industry sectors.

Transport and Main Roads

Works to implement the planning, management and deliverance of Queensland’s integrated transport environment in order to achieve sustainable transport solutions for road, rail, air and sea.

Public Service Commission

The Public Service Commission (PSC) is an independent central agency of government with key responsibilities for workforce policy, strategy, leadership and organisational performance across the Queensland public sector.
