Requirements

Agencies must apply the Core and common framework when implementing solutions to support business capabilities.
Agencies must adopt ‘mandated’ and ‘endorsed’ core and common solutions when implementing business capabilities.
Agencies must consider ‘identified’ core and common solutions when implementing business capabilities.
Agencies must not implement ‘restricted’ solutions.
‘Mandated’ and ‘endorsed’ core and common solutions must be approved for whole-of-government use with a concept of operations.

Artificial intelligence governance policy

Ensuring agency strategic planning for AI demonstrates a structured and consistent approach when evaluating AI solutions for transparency, accountability, and risk.

Requirements

Agencies must use a consistent and evidence-based process which incorporates an ethical framework to evaluate their transparency, accountability, and risk associated with the AI lifecycle.
Agencies must establish AI governance arrangements based on ISO 38507.

Digital identity and verifiable credential policy

Enabling agencies to leverage credentials and identities established across public and private sectors.

Requirements

Agencies must leverage and accept existing credentials and/or identities for authentication purposes.
Agencies must support credential and/or identity strength to be elevated, commensurate with business risks.
Agencies must provide credential and identity information assertions in a standard interoperable format.
Agencies must ensure identities are secured and apply privacy preserving measures.
Agencies must ensure that customers that do not have a digital identity, have alternate pathways/channels to access services.
