Certificate IV in Cyber Security

If you have been thinking about how to get involved in cyber security operations, the Certificate IV in Cyber Security might be for you! Nominations for 2022 are now open.

The Queensland Government Customer and Digital Group is committed to building cyber capability and providing training to boost cyber security skills in our workforce.

The Queensland Government Cyber Security Unit (CSU) is pleased to offer eligible staff supported placements in the Certificate IV in Cyber Security 2022 program. CSU has successfully run this program in 2019 and 2021 in partnership with TAFE Queensland and looks forward to celebrating the graduation of the 2021 cohort in early December.

What is the nomination process?

  • Check out the details on the TAFE Queeensland nomination site, and discuss the requirements with your manager in line with your professional development planning
  • Decide if you are comfortable with the time commitment, and your manager is happy to support your absence from the office for 1 day a week (during term)
  • If you’d like to nominate for the 2022 program, complete your registration and a short assessment on the TAFE Queensland nomination site
  • Evaluation and interviews will commence mid November and will continue until the end of the month.

When will nominations close?

Nominations close Monday, 6 December 2021.
