Leadership development scholarships open up for 2020

Published 19/11/2019

Scholarship applications are now open for two of the Queensland public sector’s most valued leadership development programs, People matters and the Public Sector Management Program (PSMP).

To foster greater diversity of thought and lived experience in leadership positions, the 2020 scholarships will be focused on supporting development opportunities for:

  • regional employees through People matters training
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees and people with disability to complete PSMP.

All scholarships are offered on a one-for-one basis, with agencies funding one paid registration per scholarship placement. Applications will be coordinated directly with partner organisations through chief HR officers.

PSC is also offering scholarships to the Australian Institute of Management’s ever-popular People matters in six locations:

  • one scholarship is available per agency for the 3-day People matters stream in Cairns and Townsville

Agencies are strongly encouraged to prioritise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, as well as people with disability, for these regional opportunities.
