Use questionnaires to help you streamline your selection process.

Review candidates more efficiently by adding a questionnaire to your job advertisement in Springboard, Queensland Shared Services' (QSS) recruitment system.

The questionnaire is designed to save you time during shortlisting and ensure you move the right candidates to the next stage of your recruitment process.

What is the questionnaire?

QSS has added a questionnaire to the suite of tools in the Manage job applications process when looking to recruit for a position in the Queensland Government.

How do questionnaires help?

When advertising a role, a pre-employment questionnaire helps to streamline the process of identifying candidates with the right skills and experience for the role. You can add questions to determine:

*    role experience
*    industry experience
*    behavioural traits
*    education
*    qualifications
*    work location preferences.

You can tailor your questions to be free-text, single-choice radio buttons, multi-choice check boxes, and drop-down lists.

Filter your candidates

Filter your candidates based on the answers they provide. You can export their answers to Excel to sort and filter as you need for you and your panel members.

You can also add filters to radio button questions that automatically move candidates to a failed questionnaire folder when they do not meet certain selection criteria. This reduces the number of applications you need to review.

For example, you could apply a filter to automatically move candidates to the failed questionnaire folder if they answer 'No' to a question about a qualification that is essential for the role.

How do I include a questionnaire?

The QSS Recruitment team will assist you to develop your questionnaire.

Complete the Springboard questionnaire form (government log in required) which has been designed to  help you gather the relevant information from the applicants. It will also provide QSS with the information they need to complete your request.

Submit this form via the QSS Self Service Centre (government log in required) before you submit your Request to hire form. The QSS Recruitment team will prepare your questions and send to you for approval prior to advertising the role.

If your request to advertise is urgent, you can attach your Springboard questionnaire form to your Request to hire. This might delay your job advertisement's publish date. The QSS Recruitment team will work with you to manage timeframes.
