Across the month agencies can actively showcase diversity and inclusion initiatives, share stories and show how workplaces value diversity and support LGBTIQ+ employees. Participation in Pride Month events demonstrates to the public and our employees that the Queensland public sector is an inclusive employer who supports employees.

Closer to the event, the Queensland Public Sector LGBTIQ+ Steering Committee contact Queensland Government employees to consider participation under the Queensland Government banner in the annual Brisbane Pride march and festival.

The Brisbane Pride website has more information available as events are locked in.

Queensland Government employees can also get involved by hosting morning teas throughout Pride month, and can contact the LGBTIQ+ Steering Committee for information on webinars and online resources.
