Privacy online training
We offer two different online courses.
Queensland - Information Privacy Act
This course is suitable for all employees of Queensland government agencies (departments, local councils,universities and public authorities, excluding health agencies and GOCs) and for employees of their contracted service providers. It explains Queensland’s general privacy landscape and takes participants through their privacy obligations contained in the Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld), explains how the Information Privacy principles operate, what steps to take to ensure compliance, and the consequences of non-compliances.
Health agency employees are recommended to complete the Queensland - Public Health Agencies and the Information Privacy Act course as it specifically deals with the National Privacy principles relevant to health agencies.

Queensland - Privacy Complaint Management training
This course is suitable for all government employees but more specifically to assist agency officers involved in the identification and management of complaints concerning a breach of obligations contained in the Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld) (IP Act). Participants are taken through what constitutes a privacy complaint, how to identify and deal with a privacy complaint, the key factors in successfully resolving a privacy complaint, and key steps to take when managing a privacy complaint.
