About

The Introduction to how parliament works half-day seminar provides an overview of Queensland's parliamentary system. You'll learn about the:

  • constitutional provisions for State Government
  • role and structure of the Parliament
  • Executive and Judiciary branches
  • law-making process
  • function and structure of parliamentary committees.

During the seminar, participants will tour Parliament and learn its history. They'll get to observe the Parliament at work and participate in a session with a Member of Parliament about the work relationship between Members of Parliament and the Public Service.
