Requirements
Agencies must develop and test sites to support all browsers and/or devices on the full and reduced browser support lists.
Benefits of conformance
- Cross-browser testing ensures websites remain usable on the majority of browsers used.
- Agencies can focus resources on testing common browsers, not all browsers.
Risks of non-conformance
- Government websites may not remain usable on different browsers or devices, negatively affecting the user experience and accessibility of the web resource.
Implementation advice
The CUE template is built to conform to the browser support plan. Updates will be made to the template as browser requirements evolve.
