111 George Street rooms for hire

We have 2 conference rooms available—1 large, and 1 medium. These include a large indoor foyer suitable for trade shows or catering set-ups.

1. Room capacity and layouts

These capacities cannot be exceeded, due to building regulations, fire emergency and workplace health and safety standards.

Note: You can book both Room 3 and the auditorium together, which will give you access to the entire venue, including all the foyer area. However, these rooms do not combine, and individual room capacities remain as above.

2. Equipment

Any electrical equipment you or the facilitator (external) brings, including laptops, power cords, power boards etc. must be tested and must have a current safety tag attached.

The Auditorium has the following:

  • lectern microphone
  • 2 x radio microphones (handheld)
  • 2 x lapel microphones
  • data projector with HDMI connection
  • whiteboard
  • television
  • hearing loop
  • WiFi
  • magnetic wall strips
  • DHPW conference phone.

Room 3 has the following:

  • data projector with HDMI connection
  • whiteboard
  • DHPW conference phone only
  • WiFi
  • magnetic wall strips.

Other equipment may be available upon request, but is limited.

Talk to the conference room coordinator as soon as possible if you need special equipment such as hot water urns

We encourage you to bring your own laptop. However, we can provide one if needed. Talk to us as far in advance as possible to ensure availability.

3. Bookings

You can book the rooms for a:

  • half day: 8am-12 noon or 1pm-5pm, for a maximum of 4 hours
  • full day: 8am-5pm, for 4-8 hours.

Half-day bookings that go past 12 noon will be charged for the full day.

Bookings outside normal hours are by special request only, and charges apply.

4. Costs

The costs for each room include GST and are current as at June 2018.

5. Catering

For all our rooms, kitchens are available for catering. It is your responsibility to organise. You can self-cater, or choose an outside caterer.

If you choose outside catering, you must inform the company they are to leave the catering in the foyer or the kitchen.

Clients MUST ensure the external caterer removes all of their equipment, storage containers and utensils by the end of the event.

Your caterer must follow all current workplace health and safety regulations, and all their equipment must have a current compliance tag attached and be marked with the owner’s contact name and address.

Water coolers are provided for free.

Alcohol is not permitted in our rooms.
